Ireland had three competitors running in the Men's Marathon on the final day of the Olympics.
Paul Pollock finished the strongest, coming home in 32nd. Pollock ran a time of 2:16:24, 7:40 behind the winner - Kenya's Eliud Kipchoge.
Kevin Seaward was 11:22 minutes behind Kipchoge, finishing in 64th with a time of 2:20:06.
And finally, Mark Clohisey crossed the line with a time of 2:26:34, finishing in 103rd place, 17:50 minutes behind the gold medalist.
