Coyle finished 47 seconds behind gold medal winner Laura Asadauskaite of Lithuania.

The Meath woman finished 11th in the fencing at the Copper Box with 19 wins to collect 856 points and was then 15th in the pool with 1,132 points thanks to a time of 2:19.17.
