Japan women’s team in flight fury

Japan’s star female footballer, Homare Sawa, has reacted angrily after the country’s women’s team were given economy seats on the same plane in which their male counterparts travelled in business class to London for the upcoming Olympic Games.

Sawa, the current FIFA women’s World Player of the Year, said “it should have been the other way around” but the Japanese FA have defended theirdecision, claiming it was because the men are professionals but the women are amateurs.
