Hamilton hopes new approach gets career back on title track

Lewis Hamilton’s self-confessed reassessment of his life has him firmly believing he can still become a multiple Formula One world champion.

Hamilton hopes new approach gets career back on title track

Hamilton’s travails of last year are now well documented, forcing him to reflect over the winter on where it all went wrong and how he could redress the balance.

For one, the 27-year-old has rekindled his romance with Nicole Scherzinger, believing the pop star to be a positive influence on his life, whilst he has also relocated to Monaco from Zurich.

To assist in his daily affairs throughout the course of a grand prix weekend, Hamilton and management company XIX Entertainment have recruited the services of driver manager Didier Coton, who previously worked with Mika Hakkinen. If it is all part of the “happy bubble” Hamilton said at one stage last year he was seeking, then he is currently exuding a wiser, more-experienced air about him than was the case for the majority of 2011.

Approaching his sixth season in F1, Hamilton goes into it with just the one championship to his name. “There’s no point saying whether I should have done better,” said Hamilton: “Of course, given my own expectations, I would have liked to have achieved more and have done better.”
