Experienced Webber keeping feet on ground

MARK WEBBER maintains age and experience are helping him to keep his feet on the ground rather than getting carried away thinking about the Formula One world title.

Experienced Webber keeping feet on ground

Webber’s stunning light-to-flag victory in Sunday’s Monaco Grand Prix elevated him to the top of the drivers’ standings, becoming the first Australian to lead the championship since Alan Jones in 1981.

Although level on 78 points with Red Bull Racing team-mate Sebastian Vettel, the 33-year-old has the edge on countback by virtue of his two victories to the one of the 22-year-old German. Like Jenson Button last year, Webber is indisputably in the form of his nine-season, 144-race career, belying his journeyman reputation.
