IRISH driver Adam Carroll is targeting the GP2 Series title after a victory in the new championship’s first race weekend.

The 22-year-old Ulsterman, who has graduated through British Formula Three, beat a clutch of big-name young drivers to take the win after being robbed of maximum points on Saturday.

He had to make do with fifth in Saturday’s race after a late penalty forced him into an extra pit stop but he avenged that disappointment yesterday with a win which kick-starts his title bid.
