Radcliffe pledges to run flat out

Paula Radcliffe insists she will be running flat out and not just trying to achieve the Olympic 10,000m qualifying standard when she competes in Gateshead tomorrow.

Radcliffe, the world’s second fastest 10,000m runner behind China’s Wang Junxia, said: “I’d like to run a personal best but it depends on the conditions. It gives me the chance to run on home soil, something I haven’t done since the Commonwealth Games.”
