They say a fighter is the last to know when it’s time to hang up his gloves and Evander Holyfield is taking that view to the extreme.

The four-time heavyweight champion of the world sank to new depths when being emphatically outpointed by Larry Donald in New York over the weekend.

Epic encounters with Mike Tyson, Lennox Lewis and Riddick Bow were a distant memory as Holyfield suffered his third successive loss and a fifth defeat in his last eight fights.
