Heidfeld edges out Pizzonia

NICK HEIDFELD came out on top in a head-to-head testing showdown with Williams rival Antonio Pizzonia at Jerez yesterday.

The pair are battling it out for a race seat with the British F1 team.

Toyota’s Ricardo Zonta set the quickest time overall, followed closely by the McLarens of Kimi Raikkonen and Juan Pablo Montoya, who finished second and third respectively on their first outing together.

The Williams duo followed in fourth and fifth while Jenson Button was down in ninth for BAR.
