Bekele fiancée dies

Olympic 10,000m champion Kenenisa Bekele was today mourning the death of his fiancée who collapsed during a training run.

Eighteen-year-old Alem Techale had been due to marry Bekele, the world record holder over both 5,000m and 10,000m, in May.

Techale was a talented athlete winning gold over 1,500m at the 2003 World Youth Championships.
