Khan to consider offer

The England Amateur Boxing Association’s development officer last night revealed details of the offer they will make to Olympic Games silver medallist Amir Khan tomorrow.

The 17-year- old has become one of the sport’s hottest properties after his heroics in the lightweight division at the Olympic Games in Athens.

Khan’s father Shah and agent Asif Vali yesterday claimed they are only receiving second-hand information from the ABA and that, although Khan expressed a desire to stay amateur until after the 2008 Beijing Olympics, they have no option but to listen to professional promoters.
