Holmes pulls out of athletics meeting

Double Olympic champion Kelly Holmes has confirmed she will not compete at Sunday’s IAAF Grand Prix meeting in Rieti.

Holmes, winner of the Olympic 800 and 1500 metre gold medals in Athens, indicated earlier this week she would run at the Italian venue.

However, since returning to a massive welcome and attending celebrations in Tonbridge, Holmes is tired after the exertions of racing and tremendous homecoming.
