Landaluze triumph in Dauphine Libere

Spain’s Inigo Landaluze survived a gruelling ascent on yesterday’s last stage to claim the Dauphine Libere crown.

Colombian Santiago Botero tried to catch Landaluze but settled for second with American Levi Leipheimer third.

American George Hincapie broke away to win the final 128-km stage between Morzine and Sallanches, which includes the formidable Domancy climb.
