JUSTINE Henin-Hardenne and a hostile Parisian crowd reduced Serena Williams to tears and shattered her grand slam dominance at the French Open yesterday.

The Belgian, aided by partisan centre court fans, mesmerised the mighty world number one 6-2 4-6 7-5 to create a piece of history by guaranteeing the new Roland Garros champion will be Belgian - a first for France’s neighbours.

She meets Kim Clijsters in the title match.
