Treacy honoured with new sports hall

HURLING takes a back seat in one corner of Waterford on Friday night.

Olympic silver medalist John Treacy, who was born in Villierstown, will officially open the new sports hall at Blackwater Community School.

The state of the art facility will be known as The John Treacy Hall in recognition of his lifetime achievements in athletics.
