Montgomery to fight any Olympic ban

TIM MONTGOMERY’S lawyer, Cristina Arguedas, yesterday said the world number one will fight any attempt to ban him from the Olympics after it was revealed the sprinter had been notified by the US Anti-Doping Agency that he has been reported for drug violations.

The world 100-metre record holder has received a letter from the USADA stating that they had documentary evidence against him even though he has never failed a drug test.

He is one of four top-flight athletes sent letters and more could be on the way according to the US Olympic Committee.
