Ireland’s boxers are set to contribute hugely to the Four Nations teams to box the touring Cubans in Liverpool on Friday and the following week at Dublin’s National Stadium.

Ireland’s top trio of Limerick’s Andy Lee and Dubliners Karl Brabazon and Ken Egan will box in the Four Nations teams of champions against the Cubans in Liverpool this Friday.

When the tour moves to Dublin the following week Ireland are expected to have seven boxers in the line up with Conor Ahern (Baldoyle), David Oliver Joyce and Eric Donovan (both St. Michael’s Athy) and Dean Murphy of St. Saviour’s Olympic Boxing Club.

Murphy steps in for the man who beat him in the National Finals, Stephen Ormonde of St. Mathew’s.
