May appointed to Anti-Doping Unit

Dr Una May, head of the Irish Sports Council’s Anti-Doping Unit, has been appointed a member of the World Anti-Doping Agency’s (WADA) panel of 10 Independent Observers for the Athens Olympics.

During the Olympic Games, Dr May will act as an independent observer (IO) for WADA, a role that aims to ensure that procedures followed during doping controls are fair and unbiased.
