Tennis championships at semi-final stage

The semi-final stages were reached in the East of Ireland Tennis Championships at the Lansdowne Club, Londonbridge Road last evening.

The men’s singles line-up will see top seed James McGee take on James Cluskey with David O’Connell opposing Eoin Heavey.

In the women’s singles quarter final, Lee Walsh went through after Joanie Macken had to retire in the first set which she led 4-3. Top seed Galina Misiurova takes on Walsh in the first of the women’s semi finals this evening.
