Griffin thwarted in Surrey League

Tralee’s Paul Griffin made a gallant attempt to retain his Evans Cycles Surrey League five-day title, but was thwarted by three seconds.

He won the final stage with time in hand but when overall leader Shaun Snodden finished third, Griffin’s ambitions were foiled on the last day of competition.
