Burns’ condition improving

Former world champion Richard Burns has revealed he is well on the road to recovery from his brain tumour.

The Englishman was taken ill in 2003 after blacking out while driving on the motorway and has been undergoing “very intensive” treatment to fight his tumour.

Burns has remained out of the public eye during his rehabilitation but sent a message of hope to his fans today via his personal website, www.richard-burns.co.uk.

He admits thoughts of a return to rallying must be put on hold until he has completely recovered from his illness.
