Dungourney refuse to buckle

Cloughduv 2-13 Dungourney 1-16: THE Cloughduv supporters thought they had it, because it was going to be difficult for Dungourney to come from five points down with just four minutes to play in the Cork JAHC final at Páirc Uí Rinn on Saturday. But, they dug it out, hitting 1-2.
Dungourney refuse to buckle

Shane Hegarty started the revival with a point in the 58th minute. From the next passage the experienced Kenneth Kelleher pounced for a goal after Hegarty made the initial run, and with the clock in added time Jack Griffin’s point earned Dungourney a second chance. A thrilling and fitting finale to a marvellous game in the perfect spirit.

Dungourney opened strong and were 0-6 to 0-3 ahead after 20 minutes with Hegarty shooting some splendid points and Ryan Denny starting to dominate at midfield. It was taking Cloughduv that bit more time to get into their stride but the dead ball accuracy of Jerry Lucey made sure they weren’t too far behind.
