November will be dominated by the provincial championships in GAA with some tasty clashes already in the offing - starting on November 1st

GLEN Rovers will wallow in the wonder of their bounceback 28th Cork senior hurling title, but they won't have long before turning attention to a looming Munster Club SHC date with Clare champions Inagh Kilnamona. The mouth-watering Cork-Clare quarter-final is pencilled in for Sunday week, November 1st, at a Cork venue (1.15pm).

Whoever emerges from that will then face Thurles Sars in a tasty provincial semi final a fortnight later on November 15 with the incentive of a home tie against the Tipp champions.

On the other side of the draw, next Sunday's Limerick SHC final winners, either Na Piarsaigh or Killmallock, have to travel to Waterford to face Ballygunner in the last four, also on November 15th. A tough proposition.

The Munster Club SFC map is charting a possible Cork-Kerry final, though neither has crowned their conty football champions yet. Next Sunday, St Finbarr's will look to put their hurling disappointment behind them as they face Nemo Rangers in the Cork decider ay Páirc Uí Chaoimh. Whoever emerges from that will have home advantage in the quarter-final against Tipp champions Loughmore-Castleiney on November 8th. The second quarter final sees The Nire or Rathgormack (Waterford) take on Clare champions Éire Óg Ennis, who saw off Kilmurry Ibrickane in Sunday's Banner final.

Kerry's SFC winners, either Dr Crokes or Kenmare Shamrocks, who meet next Sunday in Killarney, are not in provincial action until November 22nd and will travel to the winners of the Waterford/Clare quarter. The Limerick SFC champions, Fr. Casey’s or Kyle Hayes' Kildimo Pallaskenry must travel to the Cork/Tipp quarter final winner for their semi date on November 22. The senior club football in Munster is slated for December 6th with the hurling decider a week before on November 29th.
