Kerry football and Limerick hurling champions get Munster club semi-final byes

The clubs that emerge from any Munster county which reaches an All-Ireland final receive a by to the provincial semi-finals

Kerry’s representatives in the Munster senior club football championship face an away semi-final against the winners of the meeting between the Clare and Waterford champions on November 22.

As part of an agreement with the provincial council, the clubs that emerge from any Munster county that qualifies for an All-Ireland final receive a bye to the last four of the provincial senior, intermediate and junior competitions.

Limerick’s senior hurling champions have been paired with their Waterford counterparts in a semi-final at a Waterford venue on November 15.

Cork’s senior hurling representatives will meet Clare’s on November 1 and the team that progresses to the semi-final will have home advantage against Tipperary’s champions two weeks later.

In the other half of the senior football championship, Cork’s champions will face Tipperary in a quarter-final on November 8 and the victors will progress to a home semi-final against the best from Limerick on November 22.

Senior football 

Quarter-finals, November 8: Waterford v Clare; Cork v Tipperary. Semi-finals, November 22: Waterford/Clare v Kerry; Cork/Tipperary v Limerick. Final, December 6.

Intermediate football

Quarter-finals, November 8: Tipperary v Limerick; Clare v Waterford. Semi-finals: Kerry v Clare/Waterford, Kerry or Waterford venue; Cork v Tipperary/Limerick, Limerick or Cork venue. Final, December 6.

Junior Football

Quarter-finals, November 7: Clare v Cork; Limerick v Tipperary. Semi-finals, November 21: Kerry v Waterford, Clare/Cork v Limerick/Tipperary (TBC). Final, December 5.

Senior hurling

Quarter-final, November 1: Cork v Clare. Semi-finals, November 15: Cork/Clare v Tipperary, Waterford v Limerick. Final: November 29.

Intermediate hurling

Quarter-finals, November 1: Tipperary v Cork, Waterford v Kerry. Semi-finals, November 15, Tipperary/Cork v Waterford/Kerry, TBC; Limerick v Clare. Final, November 29.
