A one-match ban for Cian Lynch has been confirmed arising from his red card against Cork in SuperValu Páirc Uí Chaoimh last Sunday.
The Limerick captain will miss Sunday’s Munster SHC Round 2 clash with Clare in Ennis having been sent off by referee James Owens for striking with minimal force in the second half of their first championship game.
Lynch was dismissed for jabbing Cork’s Tim O’Mahony with his hurley. He is expected to be replaced by Darragh O’Donovan for this weekend’s clash.

It is not expected Limerick will contest the suspension in front of the Central Hearings Committee meaning Lynch will be available for the county’s penultimate provincial round game against Waterford in TUS Gaelic Grounds on Sunday, May 17.
Lynch’s fellow Patrickswell man Aaron Gillane is also set to miss the clash with The Banner having sat out last Sunday’s defeat to Cork with a calf injury.
