Sam Ring is the sole Cork minor hurler named on the team for tomorrow’s Munster MHC opener that was also part of last year’s line-up.
Ring, selected at corner-forward, was also at corner-forward for last year’s All-Ireland minor semi-final defeat to Clare. It was a game in which the Carrigtwohill teen contributed two from play.
Eoin Considine of Sars is the Cork minor captain for 2026, but because of injury he is not part of manager Donal Mulcahy’s matchday panel for their provincial opener away to All-Ireland champions Waterford (Fraher Field, 7pm). Midfielder Tadhg McCarthy of Watergrasshill will captain the side.
Callum Coffey, who was a starter during last year's run to Munster minor glory, is another unavailable.
Waterford beat Limerick 1-17 to 1-14 in their Round 1 opener last week.
