Pat Spillane has claimed that 'the AFL guys' approached Kerry's Tomás Kennedy but that the teenage attacker rejected the Australians' advances.

Kerry great Spillane compared Kennedy, who hit 1-3 against Roscommon on his League debut in January, and the same tally in last year's Munster U-20 final win, to Mayo phenom Kobe McDonald.
