Motion 5: That a player must have played in eight league and/or championship games in football and/or hurling for his club the previous year to be eligible to line out for his county at adult level the following year – Clontarf, Dublin 

Verdict: Dr Noel McCaffrey returns with a revised motion after agreeing to withdraw the original proposal 12 months ago. Few can argue against the spirit of the proposal. Making it work is what might trip it up.
