Dr Crokes have appointed Edmund O’Sullivan as their new senior football manager, replacing Andrew Kennelly for 2026. Edmund is brother of Kerry Chairman Patrick O’Sullivan and son of Eddie Tattler O’Sullivan who was involved with Mick O’Dwyer during the Kingdom’s golden era.

O'Sullivan was brought in as selector by Pat O’Shea in 2018 and then managed the senior squad, from 2019 to 2021. He has yet to name his backroom team as the 2024 SFC champions attempt to take the Bishop Moynihan back from newly crowned All-Ireland Champions Dingle.

In a statement, Dr Crokes said “At an Executive meeting of the club held today, Edmund O’Sullivan has been ratified as manager of the senior football team for 2026. Edmund brings a wealth of experience to the role having previously managed the team between 2019 and 2021, as well as previously being a highly successful underage coach.

"Edmund is a brother of the County Chairman Patrick and son of club legend Eddie. The club wishes Edmund the very best for the year ahead."

Elsewhere, Laune Rangers the 1996 All-Ireland senior club champions have appointed former Kerry All-Ireland winner and All-Star defender Shane Enright to manage their senior team for 2026, with Liam Hassett having stepped away after three years at the helm. Enright, who hails from Tarbert but now lives in Camp, played with Tarbert in the 2025 county JFC.

Meanwhile, Ian Maunsell has stepped down as Kerry U20 Hurling manager citing lack of interest by some players as the reason and it looks as if former Kerry senior hurler and recent minor manager, Jerome O’Sullivan will be ratified as the new manager at Tuesday night’s County Committee meeting.

It is also expected that Paul Geaney (Dingle) will be named as Kerry captain for 2026 while Jamesie O’Connor (Abbeydorney) is the new Kerry senior hurling captain but he will be officially ratified at the County Board meeting on Tuesday night.
