Cork camogie star Laura Treacy has hung up her boots from intercounty following a 14 year career.

The Killeagh defender won six All-Ireland titles and has four All-Stars for the Rebels. She started her intercounty career in 2012 with a Paudie Murray introduction and she progressed to full back following the retirement of Anna Geary. She blossomed into a ball-playing, creative centre-back with great game knowledge to cut off potential danger with sublime positioning and movement and also the necessary ruggedness in the collision zone to force turnovers. She overcame a 10cm hamstring tear to return back to her best on the pitch.
