As a research lead at the University of Stirling, he delivered the GAA’s ‘Play to Stay’ Research Programme in the middle of the last decade, a multi-year research programme dedicated to solving youth drop-out in Gaelic games.

Chartered psychologist and the IRFU’s former head of High Performance Coach Development Daragh Sheridan will work with the Galway senior football and hurling teams in 2026.

The former professional footballer, who represented Aston Villa, Galway United and Longford Town, is to assist both codes out west for the forthcoming year.
