All-Ireland senior camogie champions Galway will kick off their league campaign when they take on Kilkenny at home on the weekend of February 14/15.
Last year's Division One champions Cork will be on the road for their first round clash when they go head-to-head against Waterford while Antrim will welcome Tipperary.
Round five will see a repeat of last year's All-Ireland final and Division One final when Galway host Cork. The Rebels got the better of Galway in the League final with the Tribeswomen defeating Cork by a single point in the All-Ireland final. It will be anther intriguing clash between the two sides.
The All-Ireland Championships will commence on the weekend of May 23/24. There is a change to the championship structures for 2026. The tier formats will remain with the senior split into groups of four and six with the intermediate split into two groups of four.
Seeding will see the 2025 semi-finalists entering Group One with the top two sides in that group qualifying for the All-Ireland semi-finals. Third and fourth from Group One will go into the quarter-finals and will face off against the top two sides from Group Two.
There will also be a number of rules trialled during 2026 which will apply to the Leagues, Championships and U23 All-Ireland Championships only.
The are five rules to be trialled.
- If a player removes their helmet during the game or has it removed by a player/official from their own team it will be presumed that there is a potential injury and the referee will instruct the player to leave the field of play to be assessed for injury and the helmet refitted.
- Removal of substitutions upon the completion of 30 minutes of each half and the completion of 10 minutes of each half of extra-time.
- Should there be dissent from players and team officials there will be an increase in the penalty.
- Team captains, or a nominated player when the captain is either the goalkeeper or captain has left the field of play, is the only player permitted to speak to the referee to seek clarification of decisions.
- If a player is inside her own 45, side-line pucks may be taken from the player's hand.
An intial review will take place at the end of the National Leagues with any necessary adjustments to be considered ahead of the Championship. A further review will take place with proposed permanent changes to be brought before Congress in 2027.
