A special Central Council briefing has been called for this evening to hear the GAA’s decision on receipt of the ethics and integrity committee’s review of GAA’s relationship with Allianz.

Delegates were informed earlier today that the online meeting will follow a Management Committee meeting at which the ethics and integrity committee will present their findings.

Following that presentation, members of the Coiste Bainisti will decide on the relationship, which nine counties have already proposed motions to end – Antrim, Armagh, Derry, Down Fermanagh, Leitrim, Offaly, Roscommon and Tyrone.

Central Council delegates will be told of their decision prior to it being disseminated to the membership of the organisation.

The ethics and integrity body were charged in September with analysing the partnership with the global insurance company in light of a UN report linking it with the genocide in Gaza.

Two members have since recused themselves from the review but Liam Keane, Con Hogan and Ken Spratt have remained involved.
