GAA freezes National League ticket prices for second successive year

National League ticket prices have been frozen for the second successive year.

Adult admission to Division 1 and 2 football fixtures and Division 1A and 1B hurling games remain at €20, €15 for old age pensioners (OAPs) and students, and €5 for juveniles.

For Division 3 and 4 football games, a ticket is priced at €12 (€10 for OAPS/students). It’s €10 entry to Division 2, 3 and 4 hurling matches (€8 for OAPs/students).

Despite some opposition, the €5 juvenile ticket introduced for the league this past season remains. There had been calls from the likes of Dalo’s Hurling Podcast to reconsider the move on the grounds of promotion, but the GAA felt it was required to curb anti-social behaviour at some games.

Twelve months ago, the GAA argued it had made the move in “consultation with our counties and to assist with event control and health and safety protocols for fixtures that attract bigger attendances. It will not apply for Divisions 3 and 4 in football or Divisions 2 and 3 in hurling. A juvenile charge may also apply to other fixtures if required due to capacity.” 

League bundles are also available. For seven Division 1 or 2 football matches, it’s €100, which is a saving of €40. For four Division 1 or 2 football fixtures, the deal is €65, a discount of €15. Seven and four-game football packages in Division 3 and 4 is €70 and €40 respectively.

A six-game deal for Division 1A/1B in hurling is €90, a saving of €30 and a three-game bundle is €50, which is €10 than the total retail.

Tickets for the National Leagues go on sale today, Thursday.

The GAA last raised its league ticket prices in 2024 having previously been €18 for adult entry to higher division matches. In 2023, admission had been €15.
