Murphy was nominated by his club Tubbercurry at county convention on Monday evening and joins Ger Ryan and Derek Kent in February’s election.
Murphy, a current GAA trustee who sits on Management Committee, was chairman of his province between 2021 and ’24 having led his county between 2006 and ’10.
