Distance not an issue for ambitious clubs

For a long time in Kilcoo when Mickey Moran was their manager, it was a ritual that the players never once deviated from. Up at the crack of dawn to travel to Maghera in Derry for gym sessions with their S&C coach Ollie Cummins. The guts of a three-hour round trip of 240km across three counties for a tough session before the working day even warmed up may have seemed excessive for a group of club players. Not for Kilcoo. Never for Kilcoo.
