Tipperary manager Liam Cahill has been ratified for another two years with the option of a third.
The All-Ireland SHC winning boss completed his first three-year term with July’s victory over Cork.
The Tipperary County Board agreed the expected extension at their monthly meeting on Friday, which had been postponed from Monday in a show of respect to football manager Philly Ryan who passed away last weekend.
Cahlll is expected to retain the same management team of this past season – Michael Bevans (coach), selectors Declan Laffan and TJ Ryan and coaching support David Herity.
Tipperary will travel to Cape Town on their team holiday the day after the PwC All Stars the weekend after next. They will receive their All-Ireland medals at a function at the end of next month and face Limerick in a challenge game in aid of the Dillon Quirke Foundation in Fethard Town Park on December 13.
