HALF TIME: Knocknagree 2-9 Cill na Martra 0-6

1.59pm What a half by Knocknagree. They won a free in their own half just before the break and celebrated like it was another goal. Brilliant effort. They lead by nine but they had the wind in their favour. Big second half to come so stay tuned.

HALF TIME!

ONE MINUTE ADDED ON!

30mins A great score from distance by Jason Mac Cárthaigh, his first from play and his fifth overall.

29mins Knocknagree knocking it about now with ease. Making their opponents work for it.

26mins Knocknagree hit back with two quick points. Donnacha O'Connor's point followed quickly by another by the excellent Niall O'Connor.

24mins Mac Cárthaigh fires over another free. His fourth. They trail by eight.

23mins Cill na Martra respond with another Jason Mac Cárthaigh free. His third of the game. They need more than that though.

22mins What a goal. Almost took the net off! Brilliant strike by Niall O'Connor. The full forward could've gone for a point but instead blasted the ball into the roof of the net.

19mins Cill na Marta make it a seven point game through another Jason Mac Cárthaigh free.

18mins Goalkeeper Pádraig Ó Dughaill expertly fires over his 45. Knocknagree ahead by eight.

13mins Knocknagree respond perfectly with Eoghan McSweeney grabbing his first. A powerful run and a neat finish by the number nine.

11mins Torn between going with the Irish names as per the programme of translating it. Anyway, David Twomey scores from play.

9mins Knocknagree could be even further ahead - they are playing with a strong wind - but they have hit a couple of wides. Cill na Martra also just hit a wide.

7mins John Fintan Daly's side are not letting up here as full forward Conchubhar Ó Conchúir splits the posts after a near hand pass by Micheál Ó Mathúna.

6mins What a start this is by Knocknagree. A lovely move ends with Daithi Ó Conchúir rounding the goalkeeper and rolling the ball across the line.

3mins Cill na Martra need a score to settle themselves and they get one thanks to Jason Mac Cárthaigh's free.

2mins Great start this for Knocknagree as Antóin Ó Conchúir adds a quick second from play.

1.02pm Right, so I've made my way past all the jazz and I'm in position down the Páirc. It's chilly, and a little drizzly. Who will be celebrating out on the town later this evening? Buttevant will be anyway, surely. Here is what their captain has had to say after their historic victory yesterday.

11.20am Welcome everyone to our liveblog on the biggest day of football on the local Cork GAA calendar.

My name is Andrew Horgan, and I will be talking you all through the best of the action from what promises to be an exciting double header at SuperValu Páirc Uí Chaoimh.

First up is the battle between Cill na Martra and Knocknagree in the McCarthy Insurance Group Senior A Football Championship final, throw-in is at 1.30pm.

Then it’s the main event, and it hardly gets any bigger than Nemo Rangers taking on St Finbarr’s for the Andy Scannell Cup in the McCarthy Insurance Group Premier Senior Football Championship final.

Throw-in for that decider is at 3.30pm but I will be in my seat in the press box down the Páirc to bring you regular updates from 1pm on those two heavyweight clashes, as well as some updates from the other big GAA games taking place around the country today.

But until then, feel free to read and enjoy the best of the preview pieces from our website which you can find below.

Kieran Shannon: Jimmy Barry-Murphy still sprinkling some football magic.

Conor Horgan is hoping the chemistry is right for another perfect day against Barrs.

Watch Barr's star Ian Maguire on narrow margins, new rules and having 'a crack off' another county final.
