Roscommon GAA to propose Mark Dowd as new football manager

Mark Dowd is set to become the Roscommon senior football manager following the conclusion of Roscommon GAA's recruitment process.
The Strokestown native will be put forward for ratificaiton at the next Roscommon GAA county board meeting.
Dowd brings a wealth of experience in management and coaching at both club and intercounty level.
He was part of the 2006 minor management team which claimed the All-Ireland Minor title and guided Ballaghaderreen to the Mayo SFC title in 2012. He also managed the Roscommon U21 team to a Connacht championship title in 2015.
Dowd was part of the coaching setup during Roscommon's Connacht SFC wins in 2010 and 2019. He played a key role in his home club's 2022 Roscommon senior championship triumph. He is currently the manager of Roscommon Gaels.
Brian Carroll, Roscommon GAA County Chairperson is delighted to put Dowd forward for ratification for the senior manager role.

Dowd's backroom team will be announced in due process.
