Kerry and Dublin’s club football championships start this weekend and in the blueblood counties there is genuine excitement that the new rules will bring the competitions to new heights.
There are positive signs. Across last year’s 55 round games in Kerry’s Division 1, an aggregate total of 1,915 points were scored/conceded. This year, that figure was 2,452 points, an increase of over 21%.
