We haven’t quite reached knockout football for the Cork footballers but we may well be 70 minutes away from that scenario, based on what we saw over the past fortnight. 

After a pulsating loss to Kerry in extra-time in Cork five weeks ago, there were high hopes on Leeside, especially after a not too unfavourable group draw, that a home preliminary quarter-final spot was achievable.
