Mayo v Galway: What time, what channel and all you need to know about the Connacht football final

It is the battle of old foes as Mayo and Galway go head-to-head in the Connacht SFC final on Sunday. Galway are playing in their 10th consecutive final and going for four-in-a-row but Mayo will be hoping to upset the Tribesmen’s party and claim their first Connacht title since 2021.
This will be the 95th championship clash between the neighbouring counties with Mayo winning 45, Galway taking 43 and six draws between the two. It will be the first final in Castlebar since 2014 with Mayo taking the spoils, 3-14 to 0-16.
Galway got the better of the green and red in the league winning by a 10 point margin. Mayo will be out to claim their 46th Connacht title in front of home support while Galway will be in the hunt for the four-in-a-row.

The match takes place at Hastings Insurance MacHale Park in Castlebar on Sunday May 4 with a 4pm throw-in time.
The game will be shown live on RTÉ 2 following the Munster SFC final between Kerry and Clare -coverage starts at 1.15pm.
