Kerry manager Jack O’Connor said he knew exactly what to expect from Cork in SuperValu Páirc Uí Chaoimh on Saturday night. Trying to convince others was the problem.

“This is a good Cork team, when they have all their men they are a serious team," he said after his side escaped an epic contest that went all the way to the dying stages of extra-time. "They are big, they are strong, they are athletic and they have pace. Cork always lift their game against Kerry, it is tradition. I’ve had plenty of battles with them. I often left here with Kerry teams with our tail between our legs.
