The stakes are now so high, a TV review official is probably never more needed.

I sure hope I’m proven wrong but I see this being a difficult championship for our best hurling referees.

Some of what went on during the league was farcical. Referees are being told how to handle games rather than being empowered to. They’re making decisions that go against their natural style.
