Jack O’Connor has welcomed the new playing rules and maintains they have dragged football out of the quagmire. 

“I definitely think they have improved the game,” O’Connor said at his pre Munster Football Championship media briefing. “The game was in a bit of a quagmire in a way, in the sense that there were a pile of passages of play where nothing was happening.
