London travelling to Trim and pillaging four goals in the first half of their Christy Ring Cup opener against Meath was the story of the hurling weekend, as the Exiles proved that they are right in the mix to secure promotion to Joe McDonagh Hurling for the first time in their history.

Meath, overwhelming favourites before the start, settled into the game with scores from Jack Regan and Lorcan Byrne but by the midway point in the first half, they were trailing by five thanks to green flags from Paul Kennedy and Conor O’Carroll.
