Waterford are on the hunt for a new camogie manager after they parted company with Jerry Wallace on Thursday night.

The Midleton native had been in charge since late 2023 and guided Waterford to a 2024 All-Ireland quarter-final in his first season in charge. During the recent National Camogie League Division 1 campaign, Wallace oversaw two wins and three defeats as his side secured top division status for another year.

However a review of the campaign has led to the former Cork minor supremo stepping aside, and apparently retiring from coaching, with Waterford chairperson Sean Molloy confirming in a statement late Thursday night that the search for a new manager has begun.

"Following the conclusion and review of the National Camogie League 2025, Waterford Camogie are parting company with Jerry Wallace Manager and would like to thank him for participating as Senior Manager and Lead Coach with their Senior Inter-County team for season 2024/25," the statement read.

"In a review of the season to date Jerry noted and complimented the players of Waterford for their spirit, commitment to rise to the next level, their work ethic and respect shown to him, but now is the time to allow some other person/persons continue the Waterford Senior Camogie Journey.

"The team now enters preparation for the Munster Semi-Final vs Tipperary and All Ireland championship and will have a new management team in place shortly. The Waterford Camogie Board would like to acknowledge Wallace for stepping in following Waterford's demise in the 2023 All Ireland Final to Cork and for recreating a strong, confident, competitive inter-county program for their players. We wish Jerry the very best as he now retires from coaching with great memories."
