Connacht GAA estimated they lost out on over €100,000 as a consequence of their pre-season tournament not being played. Ulster’s blow would be in excess of double that amount. If by that stage the “Belfast or Bust” saga hasn’t concluded, what should be one of the most anticipated provincial championship in years threatens to be consumed by a controversy that really shouldn’t have reached this point.
