Kerry County Camogie Chairperson Anne -Marie Russell confirmed that the Kingdom’s senior team’s manager Bryan Darcy and head coach Paul Lillis have stepped down from their roles on the eve of the sides second round league clash with Meath, a game Kerry won 3-10 to 0-12 with Mary I Purcell Cup winner Amy O’Sullivan scoring 3-3 for the Kingdom. But there was no manager or coach issuing instructions on the sidelines with the remaining two members of the management team, former Kerry hurler and Ballyduff star Aidan Boyle and Pete Young directing operations.

It was Aidan Boyle who gave the post match reaction and rumours were rife that the manager had stepped down. This was confirmed on Saturday night in a brief statement from Anne-Marie Russell. “It is with regret that I can confirm that we will be appointing a new manager in the coming days after manager Bryan Darcy and Head Coach Paul Lillis stepped down on Friday evening.
