“There is a lot to get used to. It will probably be a bit frustrating for supporters at times. We’ve been exposed to them for a couple of challenge games now so we have a fair idea of what is happening. Whereas you can feel the groans in the crowd when frees are given and supporters don’t understand what they are for, trying to keep three up or dissent from the line or dissent from players. There is a bit of stop-start at the minute, no doubt. But again, referees are trying to learn it, we’re trying to learn it, the rules are there. I think the team that can be smart with the rules and can adapt quicker, it will definitely have a bearing on who goes where this year.”
